Consumed! is my blog.
It’s my sixth, and only survivor. Why? Because I’m consumed by information and activity overload–as are most people I know.
But this is it. This one will survive. It’s about the role media plays in our lives, with a focus on what is being called: social media. Blogs, podcasts, wikis, YouTube, user-generated content, etc.
I will generally look at social media and its role, through my lens as a former journalist and now, business communicator at a multi-national company.
My philosophy is this: We the media (as in anyone who produces content that is publicly available) have a responsibility to enlighten, entertain and provoke.
My goal: To act on my philosophy.
My channel: This blog.
Also know: The opinions expressed in this blog are mine. They do not represent my current employer, any past employers, my husband, my mother’s, my father’s or brothers. They may represent future employers – but that’s hard to say. My opinions certainly do not reflect my next door neighbour’s views or anyone I work with. Really, they’re mine. Entirely. Completely.
If you want to get in touch…leave a post, include your e-mail if you’d like, and I’ll reply.
Oooo, and I also have a LinkedIn profile…come visit.

I thought I replied to your latest entry but I’m not where it went, new to this… I wrote.
Nicely put, of course the down side is that you sometimes have to wade through sludge and scum to get to the truth… It’s amazing how many comments, replys, topics, are actually places by marketing people, I have no doubt that these companies are going to (if they are not already) hire armys of people to blog about their products… Actually it would be a cool idea to set up a blog saying that this is what you do for a living, “secrets of a professional bloger” I’m sure theres is abetter name, any way you could find instances that are clearly fake posts and pretend they are yours and write about how slezzy they made you feel… sorry rambling on your space. Good night to you too.
If you have a minute sometime I would like some feedback on corporatebsa.wordpress.com i’m no writer but… well you’ll get the idea. corporatebsa@gmail.com

Got your comment on my blog, but no way to email you back. I am wearing a suit and tie (weird!) and am three tables from the front in the left-hand-most seat, listening to Shel tshelton@personalbee.com

hey there!
My name is Meenakshi Ravi. I work with a team based in London which produces a weekly global media watch show called the Listening Post for Al-Jazeera English. Our broadcast takes critical and irreverent looks at global news coverage – of events and non-events. We also track developments in the use of media.
i’ve been going thru your blog and read some nice stuff here. A story we are planning for our upcoming broadcast is about citizen journalism and i’d love to talk to you a little more about it for our show.
if you are interested, do get in touch with me via email. i’ll give you the details.

Hi Sandra!
Just wanted to say “Hi!” and say thank you for adding me to your blogroll. What a nice surprise.
And now that I’m here…I’ve enjoyed reading your thoughts. It’s great to see someone in our industry focus on the impact of internal communications. That’s pretty rare, indeed.
Thanks, again, and be well!
